Cookies Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They help a site remember information about your visit — for example, that you are logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it on every page. Some cookies are essential to the site working correctly; others are optional and used to help us understand how people use the platform.

2. Cookies we use

CoachPlan uses two categories of cookies:

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They do not collect personal data beyond what is needed to authenticate your session. Under the GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.

Analytics — requires consent

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use CoachPlan — which pages are most visited, how long sessions last, and what devices are used. This helps us improve the platform. These cookies are only set after you have given your consent. IP addresses are anonymised before being sent to Google.

3. Cookie reference table

CookieProviderPurposeDuration
Authentication sessionSupabaseKeeps you signed in between page loads. Set only after you log in.Session / up to 1 week
_gaGoogle AnalyticsIdentifies unique visitors and tracks sessions across pages.2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXGoogle AnalyticsStores and counts page views for this specific Google Analytics property.2 years

4. Google Analytics and data transfers

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC, based in the United States. When you consent to analytics cookies, limited usage data is transferred to Google's servers in the US. This transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under the GDPR.

CoachPlan uses IP anonymisation — your IP address is truncated before being processed by Google, so Google never sees your full IP address.

For more details on how Google processes analytics data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Your choices — how to manage cookies

You can manage or remove cookies at any time using any of the following methods:

Browser settings

All modern browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect your ability to stay logged in.

Google Analytics opt-out

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This works across all websites using Google Analytics.

Contact us

If you have consented to analytics and wish to withdraw that consent, or if you have any questions about our cookie use, email us at legal@coachplan.app.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy when we change the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
